Well...I'm going to start off by saying....my name is Shanna Arndt...I am 34...diagnosed with hydrocephalus at 5 months...since then I've had 27 total revisions...a few infections...17 of those surgeries have been since Feb. 2009....at some point I plan on working on a timeline...and will post it...but I have to see if I can get the records from the hospital/doctor....I worked for 13 years...until my many surgeries since 2009 prevented me from working...so now I am on disability...it is amazing the things you take for granted...like being able to walk the mall with ease...now I have to make short shopping trips...or get a riding motorized cart...have a hard time with many everyday household tasks...my memory has been slowly failing...chronic pain...in my head...and other parts of my body...do to the stress of trying to keep up with some simple daily routines...
But...all that being said...I have had a lot of support...my wonderful parents...in-laws...my sister...and most of all...my husband of almost 16 years...and my 3 kids...ages 15, 12, and 5
